Tests have shown that our resourcing tool, iPlace, returns
an average of 4 times as many relevant candidates in its search
results than traditional boolean search engines.

(Relevancy is based upon whether the candidate
has the right skills and location plus is available/looking
for work)
At our iPlace launch in March this year, Anil Vithani, Operations
Director at Red Commerce, commented: "If Carlsberg did
resourcing tools, iPlace would be it."
Godfrey Morrell, MD at Abraxas, also recently commented:
"Thanks to SkillsMarket, our recruiters can now resource
more jobs per day."
iPlaces search engine is a hybrid of the best search
technology on the market, producing enough good candidates
to send to a client on just one screen.
Research has shown that the average recruiter will review
750 CVs per placement made. Instead of having to sift through
hundreds of irrelevant CVs that freetext searching alone can
return, iPlaces search engine combines the best of structured
searching, freetext searching and artificial intelligence
searching, known as fuzzy logic, to provide recruiters with
significantly more accurate results within seconds.
- Structured searching uses the same search parameters as
the candidate uses to define their skills, role, preferences
etc in their iProfile. The results are therefore significantly
more accurate. The iProfile dictionary, which is continually
updated by SkillsMarket and candidates, has over 16,000
definitions and synonyms for candidates to accurately define
their skills.
- Freetext searching allows you to word-match your requirements
against the detail in the candidates CV using boolean
search techniques.
- Fuzzy logic matching allows you to more accurately refine
their requirements by searching on specific sections of
the iProfile data. For example, it allows the pinpointing
of all programme managers that have worked for a specific
investment bank in the last three years.
To save recruiters time, iPlace allows you to perform a single
search against a combination of sources. This includes your
CV database, iProfile database, HotLists (pre-qualified candidates)
and JobsInbox (job advert respondents).
It also allows you to exclude candidates you have previously
qualified as not being suitable (e.g. they do not have a VISA
for the UK) through the exclusion of NotLists in your search
criteria.
To quickly identify the best candidates the search engine
will also display the results list in order of relevance,
based on a number of different parameters. These include scoring
on iProfile work history, text matching, text hits, location,
skills, hotlists, languages, availability and many other parameters.
You can also set up alerts on your searches to ensure you
do not miss out on any suitable candidates who update their
availability in their iProfile or register for the first time.
