Alongside the iProfile we have created a service called iPlace, that helps recruiters unleash the potential of their candidate asset base - by keeping their database updated automatically and enabling them to search for and place relevant candidates quickly, saving time and money.

iProfile is the dynamic profile for professionals that is rapidly replacing the traditional CV. It is the preferred CV format for many recruitment agencies, and is easy to set up and update. More secure than a Word CV, you can control who sees your iProfile, and you can update as many or as few recruitment agencies as you'd like at the touch of a button. Nearly two and a half million jobseekers already own an iProfile and this number is rising rapidly.

History

iProfile, formally known as SkillsMarket was founded in 2001 by Daniel Elkins and Alex Charles. It first launched the iProfile to the UK IT market in 2002 and it was used by 100,000 jobseekers in the first four months. After various recruitment companies became iProfile compatible, including Hays plc, the iProfile was launched across all professional services industry sectors in June 2004. By July 2005, 1,500,000 jobseekers owned an iProfile and later that year the resourcing tool won the ATSCo's "Innovation of the Year" award. The number of iProfiles currently stands at over 2.4 million (March 2008).
